A Week of Melodies: Monday

Welcome back to our silly little Days of the Week series. This week, we check in on what many consider to be the worst day of the week: Monday.

Monday is the official beginning of the work week for most here in the US, and for that reason they give a lot of people the blues. It can be invigorating, though, feeling more like a blank page for a new week for the optimistic. "Regularly scheduled programming" comes back on TV after a weekend of whatever happens to be on. It can sometimes be part of a long weekend, like with Memorial Day, Labor Day, or if another national holiday lands on a Sunday. Football still happens on Mondays in the Fall, and the other sports are no stranger to games on this day, either. It's, like Sunday, many different things for many people.
