Diva Spotlight: Alicia Keys

Writer's picture: jordannswrightjordannswright

I have an incredible amount of respect for Alicia Keys as a musical artist. She's a highly gifted songwriter and musician, and vocally she is just so raw and emotional and real and doesn't try to hide it - she knows exactly who she is, and it adds a whole other layer to her music that wouldn't be there otherwise. I don't even really remember a time when her name wasn't mainstream in the musical world, and the accolades she has received and well and truly deserved.

Now, my dears, it is indeed Fact Dump Time. (All info current as of November 2022):

-Full legal name is Alicia Augello-Cook

-41 years old (she's an Aquarius)

-Born in Hell's Kitchen, New York City, New York (about two and a half hours south of Albany)

-Singer, songwriter, pianist, actress, philanthropist, author, activist

-Instruments include voice and piano

-Married record producer Kasseem Dean, better known by his professional name Swiss Beatz, in 2010 and has two sons with him

-Has won 271 awards to date, including 5 American Music Awards, 9 Billboard Music Awards, 15 Grammys, 2 Peoples' Choice Awards, and a Guinness World Record as the First Singer to Replace Themselves at #1 on US R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart in 2008

-Has released 9 studio albums (8 regular and 1 Christmas)

As is tradition, I won't be discussing the holiday album on this post, only the "regular" ones. We have got a lot of music to talk about this week, so let's dive in!

Songs in A Minor (2001)

Keys's debut Neo soul/R&B album was released June 5th, 2001 by J Records when she was 20 years old. With a run time of 63:04, it produced four singles: Fallin' (4/10/01), A Woman's Worth (10/2/01), How Come You Don't Call Me (3/11/02), and Girlfriend (11/25/02). Keys won a total of five Grammys for this album, including Best New Artist and Best R&B Album in 2002, making her the second female solo artist ever to win 5 Grammys in a single night (Lauryn Hill was the first to do so in 1999). Songs in A Minor has been certified 7x Platinum by the RIAA for selling over seven million units in the United States. Wow, this album is really great, and it's tied for my favorite of her released albums to date. It doesn't feel dated at all, which each song feeling to me like she could've released it just last week. I actually had a hard time narrowing down a Top 3 for this one, but here we go:

Track 1: Piano & I (written by A. Keys)

One of my favorite things about Alicia Keys is that she's a classically trained pianist and never, ever shies away from showing that off on her albums. In fact, almost every single album she's released starts with a piano-heavy piece inspired by something classical, with Piano & I sampling portions of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, one of my favorite classical pieces of all time. It's beautiful, haunting, and does a great job setting this tone for this album.

Whatever stops you from dreaming/Whatever tries to stop you from living/Flip it/Welcome home/‘Cause right now what I have to do/Is I gotta amp myself up as well as you/So, yeah, so what it took me like/Maybe two years and shit/But I'm feelin' prepared/You know what I'm sayin'

Track 4: Fallin' (written by A. Keys)

Yeah, this is THE quintessential Alicia Keys song, but hello, it's amazing. Three of Keys's Grammys in 2002 were for this song alone: Song of the Year, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, and Best R&B Song. This is another really beautiful song that shows off Keys's piano skills and vocals in a really intricate way, weaving in and out of each other like it's nothing.

I keep on fallin’/In and out of love/With you/Sometimes I love ya/Sometimes you make me blue/Sometimes I feel good/At times I feel used/Lovin' you darlin’/Makes me so confused/I keep on fallin' in and out/Of love with you/I never loved someone/The way that I love you/Oh, oh, I never felt this way/How do you give me so much pleasure/And cause me so much pain/Just when I think/I’ve taken more than would a fool/I start fallin' back in love with you

Track 7: A Woman's Worth (written by A. Keys, E. Rose)

This is absolutely not Keys's only "girl power" type anthem, but it's one of the earliest ones and I ended up really loving it. It's got a funky, jazzy beat to it that you can't help but bob your head to, and it's got a cool bass line as well as great lyrics to go along with it.

You could buy me diamonds, you could buy me pearls/Take me on a cruise around the world, baby, you know I'm worth it/Dinner lit by candles, run my bubble bath/Make love tenderly to last, to last, ‘cause baby you know I'm worth it/Wanna please, wanna keep, wanna treat your woman right/Not just dough but to show that you know she is worth your time/You will lose if you chose to refuse to put her first/She will if she can find a man who knows her worth/‘Cause a real man knows a real woman when he sees her/And a real woman knows a real man ain't afraid to please her/And a real woman knows a real man always comes first/And a real man just can't deny a woman's worth

The Diary of Alicia Keys (2003)

Keys's sophomore R&B/soul/Neo soul album was released December 1st, 2003 by J Records when she was 22 years old. With a run time of 57:45, it produced four singles: You Don't Know My Name (11/10/03), If I Ain't Got You (2/23/04), Diary (5/24/04), and Karma (8/11/04). Keys won a total of three Grammys for this album, including Best R&B Album and Best R&B Song for You Don't Know My Name in 2005. The Diary of Alicia Keys has been certified 5x Platinum by the RIAA for selling over five million copies in the United States. This album is really good as well, but it just didn't hit quite the same as Songs in A Minor. Unlike its predecessor, this album sounds like it could only have been made in the early 2000s with different production, instrumentation, and vocalization choices that are made throughout the album. However, I liked a large amount of songs on this album too, so here's my fretted over Top 3:

Track 1: Harlem's Nocturne (written by A. Keys)

This is our second album in a row to start with a banger of a piano piece, and she just gets better the longer she goes on. This song doesn't have the haunted quality of Piano & I, but it's still beautiful and really shows off Keys's piano skills again.

Drop it/Yeah, yeah/Come in for a minute/Welcome back/It's just me and you in this room right now/There's so many things that are on my mind/Uh, yeah, uh

Track 6: If I Ain't Got You (written by A. Keys)

This song is definitely the heavy hitter on the album, and it won Keys her third Grammy in 2005 for Best R&B Vocal Performance. It doesn't have exactly the same vibe that Fallin' does, but it does have some excellent, powerful vocals and a cool, soulful feel to the rhythm that make it a classic part of her repertoire.

Some people live for the fortune/Some people live just for the fame/Some people live for the power, yeah/Some people live just to play the game/Some people think that the physical things/Define what's within and I've been there before/That life's a bore so full of the superficial/Some people want it all, but I don't want nothing at all/If it ain't you, baby, if I ain't got you, baby/Some people want diamond rings, some just want everything/But everything means nothing if I ain't got you, yeah

Track 8: Dragon Days (written by A. Keys)

I'll admit it, I love dragons, so this song peaked my interest as soon as I saw the title. That soulful groove continues on in this song, and there's some clever wordplay in the lyrics that make it a lot of fun to listen to and sing along with.

Like a damsel in distress, I'm stressin' you/My castle became a dungeon 'cause I'm longin' for you, feelin' strong for you/You're my knight in shining armor, see your face in a silver moon/Oh, all over the lagoon/And it feels like, dragon days and the fire's hot/Like the desert needs water, I need you a lot/Dragon days, I need to be saved/I’m missin' you, and the days drag on and on

As I Am (2007)

Keys's third R&B album was released November 9th, 2007 by J Records when she was 26 years old. With a run time of 68:00 on the expanded edition of the album, it produced four singles: No One (9/10/07), Like You'll Never See Me Again (11/26/07), Teenage Love Affair (3/31/08), and Superwoman (7/29/08). Keys won a total of three Grammys for this album, including Best Female R&B Performance for Superwoman in 2009. As I Am has been certified 4x Platinum by the RIAA for selling over four million copies in the United States. This album feels like it dips more into a pop sound than the first two did, but it's still definitely an R&B album at its core. It's got some great moments to it, but for me they all hit a lot later in the track listing than I expected. I wrestled with a few different choices for my Top 3, but here's where I ended up:

Track 4: No One (written by A. Keys, G. Harry, K. Brothers)

Like with Fallin' and If I Ain't Got You, this is the breadwinner of this album, winning Keys her two Grammys in 2008 for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song. This song is a lot of fun, both to sing and to listen to and, I suspect, to play if you're better on the piano than I am. It's uplifting and happy and puts me in a good mood whenever it comes on.

I just want you close/Where you can stay forever/You can be sure/That it will only get better/You and me together through the days and nights/I don't worry 'cause everything's gonna be alright/People keep talking, they can say what they like/But all I know is everything's gonna be alright/No one, no one, no one/Can get in the way of what I'm feeling/No one, no one, no one/Can get in the way of what I feel for you, you, you/Can get in the way of what I feel for you

Track 13: Tell You Something (Nana's Reprise) (written by A. Keys, K. Brothers, N. Stevenson, P. Green, R. Haney, S. Mostyn)

This song actually got me a little emotional in a similar way to Taylor Swift's song marjorie, which makes sense due to the fact that both women wrote those songs about the death of their grandmothers. This is a beautiful song kind of hidden towards the end of this album, and I highly encourage you to listen to it if you haven't before.

Get so caught up everyday trying to keep it all together/While the time just slips away, see, I know nothing lasts forever/Imagine there was no tomorrow, imagine that I couldn't see your face/There'd be no limit to my sorrow, so all I can say/I wanna tell you something, give you something, show you in so many ways/‘Cause it would all mean nothing if I don't say something before it all goes away/Don't wanna wait to bring you flowers, waste another hour, let alone another day/I’m gonna tell you something, show you something, won't wait 'til it's too late/I can't wait, I can't wait, I won't wait, I don't wanna wait/I can't wait, I can't wait, I won't wait, I don't wanna wait/I won't wait 'til it's too late

Track 14: Sure Looks Good to Me (written by A. Keys, L. Perry)

This is another hidden gem I was surprised to find so far down the tracklist on the album. Keys's vocals on this song are great, and it's another feel good, positive, go get 'em type song that's 100% worth a listen.

Life is cheap, bittersweet/But it tastes good to me/Take my turn, crash and burn/That's how it's supposed to be/So don't rain on my parade /Life's too short to waste one day/I’m gonna risk it all, the freedom to fall/Yes, it sure looks good to me

The Element of Freedom (2009)

Keys's fourth R&B/pop/soul album was released December 1st, 2009 by J Records when she was 28 years old. With a run time of 52:55, it produced six singles: Doesn't Mean Anything (9/22/09), Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart (11/17/09), Put It in a Love Song (1/19/10), Empire State of Mind, Pt. 2 (2/22/10), Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready) (5/28/10), and Wait Til You See My Smile (12/13/10). The Element of Freedom has been certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA for selling over two million copies in the United States. This album feels like much more of a hard shift to pop than As I Am, and if I'm being honest I think the album maybe suffered a little for it. Keys just isn't a pop artist, and that's totally okay, but a lot of these songs felt kind of forced to me. Unlike the others, this was not a very difficult choice to choose my Top 3:

Track 2: Love Is Blind (written by A. Keys, J. Bhasker)

I really like the piano on this song - even though it's a more poppy feel, this song does still have semblances of soul and R&B in it. Her vocals sound a little forced at points, but the chorus has some cool effects on it and the song is definitely worth a listen.

Well, people don't see what I see/Even when they're right there standing next to me/And all of my friends think I'm crazy for loving you/But they don't know there's nothing else I can do/And it's too bad 'cause love is blind/It's too bad, it's too bad/It's too bad 'cause love is blind/It's too bad, it's so bad/It's too bad 'cause love is blind/It's too bad, it don't matter baby, for loving you/It's too bad 'cause love is blind/It's too bad, it's so sad

Track 3: Doesn't Mean Anything (written by A. Keys, K. Brothers)

This is another uplifting, pick yourself up type song from Keys, and while it's good she's definitely had better. The piano, again, is good, and she does have some really nice, open vocal moments on the chorus, but all in all this song is a good addition to this album but in the larger scope of things I'd put it in the mid-range for sure.

Used to dream bout being a millionaire, without a care/But if I'm seeing my dreams and you aren't there/‘Cause it's over, that just won't be fair, darling/Rather be a poor woman living on the street, no food to eat/‘Cause I don't want nobody if I have it cry/‘Cause it's over when you say goodbye/All at once, I had it all/But it doesn't mean anything now that you're gone/From above seems I had it all/But it doesn't mean anything since you're gone

Track 10: Put It in a Love Song ft. Beyoncé Knowles (written by A. Keys, B. Knowles, K. Dean)

I completely forgot about this song until I heard that "Hey yo, B? What up, A?" in the intro and was immediately transported back to my senior year of high school when we were still using Beyoncé's last name. This song is actually a lot of fun and I'm glad I got to rediscover it. Definite banger, 10/10 would listen again.

Say you love me, say you love me, then put it in a love song/Say you need me, say you need me, then write it in a letter for me/Say you want me, say you want me, then text me on the cell phone/Say you love me, say you love me, then put me in a love song/If you say you want me, yeah, you say you want me/If you do the right thing, we can be together/I’m not easy, yeah, you gotta work for it/I’m the real thing, and baby gotta please me/All that talkin', boy, you better walk it/All that frontin', that's not how you do it/If you really need me like you say you need me/Baby better show me, baby, better come and say

Girl on Fire (2012)

Keys's fifth R&B album was released November 22nd, 2012 by RCA Records when she was 31 years old. With a run time of 53:08, it produced five singles: Girl on Fire (9/4/12), Brand New Me (11/19/12), New Day (2/21/13), Fire We Make (3/28/13), and Tears Always Win (5/7/13). Keys took home the Grammy for Best R&B Album for Girl on Fire in 2014, and it has been certified Platinum by the RIAA for selling over one million copies in the United States. This album is much more similar to Keys's early stuff than The Element of Freedom, but it still has some pop elements to it like As I Am. There are some great moments on this album for sure, but again it was easy to narrow down a Top 3:

Track 2: Brand New Me (written by A. Keys, E. Sandé)

I like that this track felt a little more stripped down, focusing just on Keys's vocals and piano. I really like the lyrics on this one, too - the message that we can and should be able to change as people without fear of upsetting someone is a good one to put out there.

It's been a while, I'm not who I was before/You look surprised, your words don't burn me anymore/Been meaning to tell you, but I guess it's clear to see/Don't be mad, it's just the brand new kind of me/Can't be bad, I found a brand new kind of free/Careful with your ego, he's the one that we should blame/Had to grab my heart back, God know something had to change/I thought that you'd be happy, I found the one thing I need/Why you mad, it's just the brand new kind of me

Track 6: Girl on Fire (written by A. Keys, B. Squier, J. Bhasker, S. Remi)

I was actually super bummed to find out that Keys's solo version of this song was not the one on the album - that slot goes to the Inferno Version featuring Nicki Minaj. The Inferno Version is still good, don't get me wrong, but the regular solo Girl on Fire is just so, so good. This really may be one of her best songs.

She's just a girl and she's on fire/Hotter than a fantasy, lonely like a highway/She's living in a world and it's on fire/Filled with catastrophe, but she knows she can fly away/Oh, oh oh oh oh/She got both feet on the ground and she's burning it down/Oh, oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh/She got her head in the clouds and she's not backing down/This girl is on fire/This girl is on fire/She's walking on fire/This girl is on fire

Track 13: 101 (written by A. Keys, E. Sandé)

I really like this final track a lot - final tracks are every bit as important as first tracks, after all. It's got an almost hypnotic piano line to it and is a really good, cool, mellow way to end out this album.

You're used to that sound of a heart that's breaking/I know it don't phase you anymore/You're the king of the game that you played/I know you played it a hundred times before/You fill your bedroom up with trophies/Then you get a kick out of closing the door/Got all the words to keep on hoping/I know you said them a hundred times before/But then there's me, a false for your gold/Then there's me, just love me for fun/Baby, there's me, no use or pretend/Oh, there's me, a 101

Here (2016)

Keys's sixth R&B/soul/pop/hip hop album was released November 4th, 2016 by RCA Records when she was 35 years old. With a run time of 46:04, it produced two singles: In Common (5/4/16) and Blended Family (What You Do For Love) (10/7/16). This album was honestly pretty blah for me, especially after how hard she went on certain parts of Girl on Fire. I do feel pretty strongly about my Top 3 though, and think they're great additions to her repertoire:

Track 9: Blended Family (What You Do for Love) ft. A$AP Rocky (written by A. Keys, L. Hyman, D. Nuncio, R. Mayers, B. Aly, E. Brickell, J. Bush, J. Houser, K. Withrow)

I was honestly starting to get concerned that I was over halfway done with the album and nothing had grabbed me yet, but I really like Blended Family a lot. It's interesting to hear an Alicia Keys song start out with guitar instead of piano, but it really works here. This is a really sweet song lyrically, and I do like A$AP Rocky so hearing his feature on this song was great.

Hey, I might not really be your mother/That don't mean that I don't really love ya/And even though I married your father/That's not the only reason I'm here for ya/I think you're beautiful, I think you're perfect/I know how hard it gets, but I swear it's worth it, worth it/That's what you do, what you do, what you do, what you do for love/‘Cause there ain't nothing, there ain't nothing, there ain't nothing I won't do for us/It may not be easy, this blended family, but baby/That's what you do, what you do, what you do, what you do for love

Track 12: Girl Can't Be Herself (written by A. Keys, M. Batson, H. Lilly, S. Martin)

This song has a very different sound from what I'm used to from Keys, honestly sounding to me like more of something Beyoncé would've done in the mid to late 2000's. That being said, I really, really like it and think it's a good, fun, girl power anthem added to this tracklist.

When a girl can't be herself no more/I just wanna cry, I just wanna cry for the world/When a girl can't be herself no more/I just wanna cry, I just wanna cry for the world/In the morning from the minute that I wake up/What if I don't want to put on all that makeup/Who says I must conceal what I'm made of/Maybe all this Maybelline is covering my self-esteem/Whose job is it to straighten out my curves/I’m so tired of that image, that's my word/What if today I don't feel like putting heels on/Who are you to criticize when beauty's only in the eyes/Of the beholder/So behold her/Sing, sing, sing, why, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh/Yo, yo-yo

Track 16: Holy War (written by A. Keys, C. Montagense, B. Walsh)

This is another really strong final track that ended up taking me by total surprise with how much I liked it. It's very stripped down and acoustic, and it's very beautiful in its simplicity.

If war is holy and sex is obscene/We've got it twisted in this lucid dream/Baptized in boundaries, schooled in sin/Divided by difference, sexuality and skin/Oh, so we can hate each other and fear each other/We can build these walls between each other/Baby, blow by blow and brick by brick/Keep yourself locked in, yourself locked in/Yeah, we can hate each other and fear each other/We can build these walls between each other/Baby, blow by blow and brick by brick/Keep yourself locked in, yourself locked/Oh, maybe we should love somebody/Oh, maybe we could care a little more/So maybe we should love somebody/Instead of polishing the bombs of holy war

Alicia (2020)

Keys's seventh R&B/soul/orchestral pop album was released September 18th, 2020 by RCA Records when she was 39 years old. With a run time of 54:40, it produced seven singles: Show Me Love (9/17/19), Time Machine (11/20/19), Underdog (1/9/20), Good Job (4/23/20), Perfect Way to Die (6/19/20), So Done (8/14/20), and Love Looks Better (9/10/20). This album, while fun, has a lot going on, and to me the genre shifts felt pretty jarring from song to song. She does have some really good collaborations on here, though, and I am quite the fan of my Top 3:

Track 3: Authors of Forever (written by A. Keys, D. Farmer, J. McDaid, J. Coffer, J. West, K. Dean, K. Tyler, L. Dopson, T. Nash)

Here we are with another absolute bop from Alicia Keys. This song has a great beat, like most of the songs on this album, and while this one feels heavily produced it still feels like an Alicia Keys song.

We are lost and lonely people, and we're looking for a reason and it's alright/So let's celebrate the dreamers, we embrace the space between us, 'cause it's alright/We're all in this boat together and we're sailing towards the future and it's alright/We can't make the whole thing better, we're the authors of forever and it's alright/We are born on our own and we die on our own/And we're here to make meaning of what happens in between/We could hate, we could love, we could doubt, we could trust/But we're here to make meaning for as long as we're breathing/And it's alright/Wherever you are, it's alright/Whoever you are, it's alright/If you find love, love like it's the first time/God only knows it will be the last time/If you find love, love like it's the first time

Track 5: Underdog (written by A. Keys, J. Coffer, J. McDaid, E. Sheeran, F. Vance, A. Wadge)

I actually heard this song for the first time when one of my piano students decided she wanted to learn to play it, and I loved it immediately. It's got a great beat, awesome lyrics, and is great to play whether you're trying to motivate yourself to write a paper, clean the house, or run a mile on the treadmill.

She was walking in the street, looked up and noticed/He was nameless, he was homeless/She asked him his name and told him what hers was/He gave her a story 'bout a life/With a glint in his eye and a corner of a smile/One conversation, a simple moment/The things that change us if we notice/When we look up, sometimes/They said I would never make it, but I was built to break the mold/The only dream that I've been chasing is my own/So I sing a song for the hustlers trading at the bus stop, single mothers waiting on a check to come/Young teachers, student doctors, sons on the frontline knowing they don't get to run/This goes out to the underdog, keep on keeping at what you love/You'll find that someday soon enough you will rise up, rise up, yeah

Track 10: Gramercy Park (written by A. Keys, D. Farmer, J. Napes, J. West, K. Dean, K. Tyler, L. Dopson, S. Roman, T. Nash)

This is another really nice, simple, acoustic number from Keys and shows that this type of song fits her voice and her style as well as her classic soul and R&B. This is a great one right in the middle of the tracklist, don't miss it.

Are you gonna see me when light gets dark/The sun goes down over Gramercy Park/And it's become easy to hide pieces away/Making up someone in the hope that you'll stay/‘Cause I've been trying to be everything I think you want me to be/I’ve been doing all the things that I think you wanna see/I’ve been trying to fulfill you with your every need/Now you falling for a person that's not even me/Said you falling for a person that's not even me

Keys (2021)

Keys's eighth R&B album was originally released December 10th, 2021 by RCA Records when she was 40 years old, with a rerelease coming very quickly behind in August 2022. With a run time of 93:24, the double album has so far produced three singles: Lala (Unlocked) (9/9/21), Best of Me (10/28/21), and Come for Me (7/14/22). I can definitely say Keys is tied with Songs in A Minor as my favorite of her albums because this one truly felt like a return to form for her. The first half of the album, "Originals," are all very traditional and melodic and, frankly, quite lovely, while the second half, "Unlocked," features the same songs only more heavily produced but creating something almost entirely new and pretty cool. While every song in my Top 3 came from the Originals half of the album, the whole thing is gret and worth a listen, but let's set our focus for this most recent album:

Track 1: Plentiful (Originals) ft. Pusha T (written by A. Keys, D. Grant, G. Nash, H. Lilly, K. West, K. Dean)

We open the album with another stunning piano-heavy tune, so right away we should know this is going to be good. The song isn't overly wordy, but both Alicia and Pusha T's verses are great and while I'm partial to the Original version, the Unlocked version is pretty good, too.

The devil's always preying on the weaker souls/All that we can know, it was all good just a week ago/Prada carry-ons, off to Mikonos/Celebrating life on white sands, but only we can toast/Still got it cheaper though, scales like a Libra, yo/Playing on these keys like Alicia, that's her secret though/Only on the need to know, nah, you don't need to know/Had to tell the truth on this beat like Beanie Siegel though, Push/My God is plentiful, He surrounds me every day/I’m like a miracle, feel the water beneath me/I used to live hidden in a disguise, faith is the King that has opened my eyes/My God is plentiful, all my love, oh, Thee I pray

Track 5: Is It Insane (Originals) (written by A. Keys, A. Hogan, M. Williams, R. Slaughter)

This song sounds like Keys should be singing it wearing a sparkly black dress and elbow length gloves at a piano on a dimly lit stage in a super swanky jazz club and I am here for it. I will say I far prefer the Originals version over the Unlocked for this one because I feel like the Unlocked loses some of the emotion in her voice. There's a point near the end where I wouldn't be surprised if she'd been in actual tears while recording, and it's little things like that that I love about her and her music.

Track 9: Daffodils (Originals) (written by A. Keys, M. Williams, N. Hemby, T. Johnson)

Ok, this may actually be my favorite Alicia Keys song. It's gorgeous, it's relaxing, and it's so much better than the Unlocked version - seriously, the Unlocked doesn't even sound like the same song. I cannot recommend this one enough, go listen to it now.

I, I been walking in the snow/Looking for myself in the cold/You, you been afraid of the night/Looking for the morning on your own/The sun always brings the light, time always brings a change/We planted seeds inside, now we're dancing in the rain/Growing up slowly over the hills/Winter is over, here come the daffodils

Whether you've been a fan for twenty years or twenty minutes, I hope you found some great music to check out from the incredible Alicia Keys. Happy listening, and see ya'll next week!
