Here we are – the last two days of 2019! I almost can’t believe it; on Wednesday we’ll not only be at the beginning of a new year, but a new decade. Since this post is going to be a little longer, I’ll go ahead and jump right in – this blog will be focusing on my personal favorite album releases of 2019. The guidelines for this post are pretty simple: 1. I’m not including singles that came out this year just for time’s sake – only full albums and EPs. 2. The songs picked from each album are based on my personal opinions alone – I encourage everyone to listen to the full album if you’re interested, because they’re pretty great! 3. These albums and EPs aren’t in top to bottom order. So without further ado – here we go!

At Midnight – Elevation Worship (released 8/30/2019) Elevation Worship is one of my top 5 favorite worship groups for sure. This EP was released late summer of this year and it’s so great and uplifting. It includes 5 songs and runs a little over 30 minutes in total length, 3 of which I want to highlight. Track 1: Gone (written by S. Furtick, D. Mutendji) It wasn’t for nothing that You shed Your blood/So I’m gonna live like my shame is gone/Won’t be shackled to the way I was/Oh, I’m gonna live like my chains are gone/Gone/Now my sin is dead and gone/And I sing hallelujah/Done, done/He is risen and it is done/And I sing hallelujah Ephesians 1:7 He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. Track 3: See A Victory (written by B. Fielding, J. Ingram, S. Furtick, C. Brown) The weapon may be formed, but it won’t prosper/When the darkness falls, it won’t prevail/’Cause the God I serve knows only how to triumph/My God will never fail/Oh, my God will never fail/I’m gonna see a victory, I’m gonna see a victory/For the battle belongs to You, Lord/I’m gonna see a victory, I’m gonna see a victory/For the battle belongs to You, Lord Deuteronomy 28:7 “The Lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven!” Track 5: With You (written by C. Brown, S. Furtick, T. Hammer) Beneath the surface of my anxious imagination/Beckons a calmness that is found in You alone/It washes over every doubt, every imperfection/Jesus, Your presence is the comfort of my soul/There’s nowhere I’d rather be/When You’re singing over me/I just wanna be here with You/I’m lost in Your mystery/I’m found in Your love for me/I just wanna be here with You Psalm 16:11 You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

Better Word – Leeland (released 9/13/2019) This is worship band Leeland’s first live album, and it’s so super good. It absolutely took off due to the success of Way Maker, but the entire album is so wonderful and inspiring and absolutely worth a listen. The full album is 15 songs and runs about 1 hour 34 minutes, and I have three songs I want to highlight. Track 3: Way Maker (written by O. Okoro) You are here, moving in our midst/I worship You, I worship You/You are here, working in this place/I worship You, I worship You/You are here, moving in our midst/I worship You, I worship You/You are here, working in this place/I worship You, I worship You/You are way maker, miracle worker/Promise keeper, light in the darkness/My God, that is who You are/You are way maker, miracle worker/Promise keeper, light in the darkness/My God, that is who You are Isaiah 43:16-19 I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses. I drew them beneath the waves, and they drowned, their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick. But forget all that – it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Track 4: Better Word (written by J. Mooring, K. Lee, L. Mooring) Your blood is healing every wound/Your blood is making all things new/Your blood just speaks a better word/Your blood, the measure of my worth/Your blood, more than I deserve/Your blood speaks a better word/Speaks a better word/It’s singing out with life, it’s shouting down the lies/Oh, it echoes through the night, the precious blood of Christ/Speaks a better word, speaks a better word Hebrews 9:14 Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. Track 9: Rain (ft. Noel Robinson) (written by N. Robinson, D. Akodu) Rain, rain on me/Open the windows of Heaven/Rain, rain on me/Open the windows of Heaven/Open up the heavens/Pouring out a blessing/Lord, we need refreshing/’Til it overflows Psalm 51:2 Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin.

Chronologic – Caravan Palace (released 8/30/2019) My husband got me hooked on Caravan Palace several years ago, so we were both really looking forward to this album when it was released this summer. The style is definitely different from their previous albums, but it’s still so much fun. This album includes 11 songs and runs about 35 minutes, and I have 3 songs I want to highlight. Track 1: Miracle (written by A. Toustou, A. De Bosredon, A. Amzallag, C. Delaporte, H. Payen, S. Fernandez Velasco) Can you feel the pain, see the mess and trouble in your brain/Anger you retain, pressure rocks you like a hurricane/Is it time for you to jump into the next train/Change of head, make a stand, I can see your heart change/No more nap, your turn is comin’ up/You feel lazy but stop the fantasies and bubble butts/If you need to hear go for it/I will teach you how to feel the thing so close to you, connect it all/Act like a brother, every day is a miracle/Help one another, connect back with the people/Give it to your lover, and all the people you miss/Let’s come around/Act like a brother, don’t think you’re invisible/Help one another, connect back with the people/Give it to your lover, and all the people you miss/Let’s come around Track 10: Ghost (written by Caravan Palace) This is an instrumental track that I love on this album – it’s shorter and has a fun, haunting sort of vibe. Track 11: April (written by A. Toustou, A. De Bosredon, C. Delaporte, H. Payen, M. Riviere) Wild spring, raging in my street/April please, lower your gun/Cold wind, nude branches on the trees/April please, help me to run/Running in the nature/Away from the past/Pretty as a picture/I’m cheering up so fast

Covered - Mack Brock (released 3/22/2019) I LOVE Mack Brock’s voice thanks to his time with Elevation Worship. This EP, released in early spring 2019, is truly beautiful both in music and in meaning. It includes 5 songs and runs about 26 minutes long, and while I enjoyed the whole album there’s only 1 track I decided to highlight here. Track 1: I Am Loved (written by J. Ingram, J. Smith, M. Brock) Just as I am, You welcome me/With open arms, how can this be/My guilt is undone, my past is untethered/I leave it behind, and run to my Father/There is no disappointment in Your eyes/There is no shame, there is only pride/I am loved, Father, I’m loved by You Romans 8:38-39 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow – not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below – indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For the Girls - Kristin Chenoweth (released 9/27/2019) It is absolutely no secret that I count Kristin Chenoweth as one of my musical heroes. I eagerly awaited this album’s release from the minute she started talking about it, and I was NOT disappointed – she’s just so amazing at everything she does, and I enjoyed the songs she collaborated with other artists on as much as her solo stuff on this album. This full album contains 12 songs and runs about 42 minutes, 4 of which I want to highlight here. Track 2: You Don’t Own Me (ft. Ariana Grande) (written by D. White, J. Madara) You don’t own me/I’m not just one of your many toys/You don’t own me/Don’t say I can’t go with other boys/Don’t tell me what to do/And don’t tell me what to say/And please, when I go out with you/Don’t put me on display Track 4: I Will Always Love You (with Dolly Parton) (written by D. Parton) If I should stay/I would only be in your way/So I’ll go, but I know/That I’ll think of you every step of the way/And I will always love you/I, I will always love you Track 7: Crazy (written by W. Nelson) Crazy/I’m crazy for feeling so lonely/I’m crazy/Crazy for feeling so blue/I know/You’d love me as long as you wanted/And then someday/You’d leave me for somebody new Track 12: Desperado (written by D. Henley, G. Frey) Desperado, why don’t you come to your senses/You been out ridin’ fences for so long now/You’re a hard one, but I know you got your reasons/These things that are pleasin’ you can hurt you somehow/Don’t you draw the queen of diamonds, boy, she’ll beat you if she’s able/You know the queen of hearts is your best bet/Now, it seems to me some fine things have been laid upon your table/But you only want the ones that you can’t get

Frozen 2 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) - Various Artists (released 11/15/2019) My love for Frozen literally knows no bounds. It stars one of my heroes (Idina Menzel), the music is overwhelmingly beautiful, and the animation is absolutely astounding. Frozen 2 was so not a disappointment to me, and I love it every bit as much as I loved the original. The special edition of the soundtrack includes 46 songs and runs about 2 hours 9 minutes, and I want to highlight 6 of those songs here. Track 1: All Is Found (written by K. Anderson-Lopez, R. Lopez) Where the north wind meets the sea/There’s a river full of memory/Sleep, my darling, safe and sound/For in this river, all is found/In her waters, deep and true/Lie the answers and a path for you/Dive down deep into her sound/But not too far, or you’ll be drowned Track 3: Into the Unknown (written by K. Anderson-Lopez, R. Lopez) I can hear you, but I won’t/Some look for trouble, while others don’t/There’s a thousand reasons I should go about my day/And ignore your whispers, which I wish would go away, oh/You’re not a voice, you’re just a ringing in my ear/And if I heard you, which I don’t, I’m spoken for, I fear/Everyone I’ve ever loved is here within these walls/I’m sorry, secret siren, but I’m blocking out your calls/I’ve had my adventure, I don’t need something new/I’m afraid of what I’m risking if I follow you/Into the unknown/Into the unknown/Into the unknown Track 4: When I Am Older (written by K. Anderson-Lopez, R. Lopez) This will all make sense when I am older/Some day, I will see that this makes sense/One day, when I’m old and wise, I’ll think back and realize/That these were all completely normal events/I’ll have all the answers when I’m older/Like why we’re in this dark, enchanted wood/I know in a couple years, these will seem like childish fears/And so I know this isn’t bad, it’s good Track 6: Lost in the Woods (written by K. Anderson-Lopez, R. Lopez) Again you’re gone, off on a different path than mine/I’m left behind, wondering if I should follow/You had to go, and of course it’s always fine/I probably could catch up with you tomorrow/But is this what it feels like to be growing apart/When did I become the one who’s always chasing your heart/Now I turn around and find I am lost in the woods/North is south, right is left when you’re gone/I’m the one who sees you home, but now I’m lost in the woods/And I don’t know what path you are on/I’m lost in the woods Track 7: Show Yourself (written by K. Anderson-Lopez, R. Lopez) Every inch of me is trembling, but not from the cold/Something is familiar, like a dream I can reach but not quite hold/I can sense you there, like a friend I’ve always known/I’m arriving, and it feels like I am home/I have always been a fortress, cold secrets deep inside/You have secrets too, but you don’t have to hide/Show yourself, I’m dying to meet you/Show yourself, it’s your turn/Are you the one I’ve been waiting for all of my life/Show yourself, I’m ready to learn Track 8: The Next Right Thing (K. Anderson-Lopez, R. Lopez) I’ve seen dark before, but not like this/This is cold, this is empty, this is numb/The life I knew is over, the lights are out/Hello darkness, I’m ready to succumb/I follow you around, I always have/But you’ve gone to a place I cannot find/This grief has a gravity, it pulls me down/But a tiny voice whispers in my mind/You are lost, hope is gone/But you must go on/And do the next right thing

GIRL - Maren Morris (released 3/8/2019) Maren Morris is fast becoming one of my favorite modern female country artists. Similar to the writing style of artists like Kacey Musgraves, she tells it how it is unapologetically. This album is feminist and girly and fun all wrapped into one. The full length album includes 14 songs and runs about 47 minutes, and I’ve got 4 songs I want to highlight here. Track 1: GIRL (written by G. Kurstin, M. Morris, S. Aarons) Man, this shit’s unflatterin’, all up in my head again/I don’t feel myself right now, maybe I should just lay down/If vanity’s my vitamin, well I don’t feel the difference/I don’t like myself right now, gotta find a way out/What you feel is natural/But I don’t wanna feel this anymore/Pick yourself up off the kitchen floor/What you waitin’ for/Girl, won’t you stop your cryin’/I know that you’re tryin’, everything’s gonna be okay/Baby girl, don’t you hang your head low/Don’t you lose your halo, everyone’s gonna be okay, baby girl Track 4: A Song for Everything (written by J. Happiness Begins - Jonas Brothers (released 6/7/2019) Ok, ya’ll – THIS was 100% my most anticipated album of 2019. I fell head over heels for the Jonas Brothers when I was 15 years old and my best friend took me with her to see them perform at the Texas State Fair and in the past 12 years I have been blessed to get to see them a total of four times in concert. This album was NOT what I was expecting from them after a six year hiatus, but I have grown to absolutely adore it and it’s more grown-up sound. The full album consists of 14 songs running around 44 minutes long, and I have 7 songs to highlight. Track 1: Sucker (written by F. Dukes, J. Jonas, K. Jonas, L. Bell, N. Jonas, R. Hollywood’s Bleeding - Post Malone (released 9/6/2019) Ya’ll, I love Post Malone. He’s from the DFW area just like me, he puts out excellent music, his voice is good with or without autotune, and in the words of my brother, he’s “one of three artists that’s never put out a bad song.” I was really looking forward to Hollywood’s Bleeding as soon as I heard it was coming and was NOT disappointed at all. Lover - Taylor Swift (released 8/23/2019) I am unapologetically Team Taylor all the way, so this album was right after Happiness Begins in terms of anticipation for me this year. She didn’t let me down, either – once again, she created a brand new sound that sets this album apart from all the others with so many absolute bops that it’s hard to narrow them down. The full album includes 18 songs and runs about 1 hour 2 minutes, and I’ve got 8 to highlight. Track 1: I Forgot That You Existed (written by T. Swift, L. Bell, A. Feeney) How many days did I spend thinking ’bout how you did me wrong, wrong, wrong/Lived in the shade you were throwing ’til all of my sunshine was gone, gone, gone/And I couldn’t get away from ya, in my feelings more than Drake, so yeah/Your name on my lips, tongue-tied, free rent living in my mind/But then something happened one magical night/I forgot that you existed/And I thought that it would kill me, but it didn’t/And it was so nice, so peaceful and quiet/I forgot that you existed/It isn’t love, it isn’t hate, it’s just indifference Track 3: Lover (written by T. Swift) We could leave the Christmas lights up ’til January/This is our place, we make the rules/And there’s a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you, dear/Have I known you twenty seconds or twenty years/Can I go where you go/Can we always be this close forever and ever/And oh, take me out and take me home/You’re my, my, my, my lover Track 4: The Man (written by T. Swift, J. Neotheater by AJR (released 4/26/2019) I was introduced to AJR during the summer by one of my sister-friends and I have to admit, I like them a lot. Definitely an alternative band, they have a very clear sound and a clear message in all of their songs that sometimes adulting sucks but we have to do it anyway. The full album consists of 12 songs running at about 44 minutes, and I’ve got 3 to highlight here. Track 3: 100 Bad Days (written by A. Met, J. Met, R. Met) Remember when we all got drunk/I ended up with two broke thumbs/Oh my God, I felt so dumb/Lucky me/I wrote a song and no one knows/I played a show and no one showed/Oh my God, I felt so alone/Lucky me/When all is going wrong and you’re scared as hell/What you gonna do, who you gonna tell/Maybe a hundred bad days made a hundred good stories/A hundred good stories make me interesting at parties/A hundred bad days made a hundred good stories/A hundred good stories made me interesting at parties, yeah/No, I ain’t scared of you/No, I ain’t scared of you no more/No, I ain’t scared of you/No, I ain’t scared of you no more Track 4: Don’t Throw Out My Legos (written by A. People by Hillsong UNITED (released 4/26/2019) I’m definitely a fan of UNITED’s 14th live album People. And the fourth looks like a god!”

7 by Lil Nas X (released 6/21/2019) Yeah, yeah, yeah, I jumped on the Old Town Road bandwagon just like everyone else. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this EP since rap isn’t always my go-to, but I really did enjoy listening to it. The EP includes 8 songs and runs about 19 minutes, and I’ve got 2 songs to highlight. Track 1: Old Town Road (ft. Billy Ray Cyrus) [Remix] (written by A. Ross, B. Cyrus, J. Donald, K. Roukema, M. Take the Stairs by Black Violin (released 11/1/2019) I have the one and only Alexa to thank for my discovery of Black Violin. My husband likes to have classical music playing in the house during our rare down times, and one of their songs came on Amazon Music one day and I was hooked on their brand of classical violin and hip hop. The full album has 13 songs and runs about 45 minutes, and I’ve got 3 to highlight. Track 2: One Step (written by K. Sylvester, W. Baptiste) Standing on the land mine and we’re singing hallelujah/Thrown into the end times and we’re singing hallelujah/Gonna take mine, take mine, take mine for the future/Baby take mine, take mine, take mine for the future/One step to the future/Been down but I been strong/Done right when you done wrong/Thought I lost but I still won/One step to the future, step to the future/Been down but I been strong/This time it’s a new song/Thought I lost but I still won/One step to the future, step to the future Track 6: Serenade (written by K. Sylvester, W. Baptiste) This is one of their instrumentals on the album and the one I heard that day on our Echo – it’s amazing and dreamy and classical and modern. Track 13: Nimrod (written by K. Sylvester, W. Baptiste) This is another instrumental – do yourself a favor and listen to it right now. Go on. Do it.

Temporal by Julia Kent (released 1/25/2019) This was another find on Amazon Music’s classical playlist that I can’t get enough of. Julia Kent is a cellist from Canada, and I’ll be probably gradually downloading all of her music from this point on because I’m so captivated by her style of playing. This full album consists of 7 songs and runs about 38 minutes, and the one song I want to highlight was my first introduction to her. Track 1: Last Hour Story (written by J. Kent) This instrumental piece runs over 12 minutes long but it really doesn’t feel like it. It’s a perfect meditation type song for me with a flowing melody and a rhythm to die for.

The Dance and How to Do It by Dick Jr. & the Volunteers (released 11/22/2019) My husband and I binge watched all 14 seasons of Supernatural on Netflix over the course of about 6 months this year – how we have gone this long without watching it I don’t know, but we’re both obsessed and could (and will) watch it again and again and again. Being the type of fan girl that I am, when I found out that one of my favorite actors and characters on the show (Richard Speight Jr., who plays Gabriel) was releasing his first album with his band, I immediately downloaded it to show support and I have to say, I had a great time listening to it. The full album includes 8 songs and runs about 28 minutes, 3 of which I’ll highlight below. Track 3: Jackson (written by B. Wheeler, J. Lieber) We got married in a fever/Hotter than a pepper sprout/We’ve been talkin’ ’bout Jackson/Ever since the fire went out/I’m going to Jackson/Gonna mess around/Yeah, I’m goin’ to Jackson/Look out, Jackson town Track 4: Me & Paul (written by W. Nelson) It’s been rough and rocky traveling/But I’m finally standing upright on the ground/After taking several readings/I’m surprised to find my mind’s still fairly sound/I guess Nashville was the roughest/But I know I’ve said the same about them all/We received our education/In the cities of the nation, me and Paul Track 6: Cautionary Fairytale (written by R. Benedict) There was a man on my doorstep/He said son, you best wake up/There’s a great wind a-comin’/Once it blows, it won’t let up/Well, I was young & naive/Said I appreciate you comin’ ’round/But I got a house made of brick here/Ain’t no wind gonna bring it down/He left just as he came/As if he was never here/And I went, went on livin’/Without concern, without fear/Well I loved her like a fairy tale, I lost her like a dream/Pull up on the roadside there, and I’ll tell you what I mean/There are things in life you can’t control and things you can’t forsee/But if you find real love, don’t ever let her leave

VICTORY by Bethel Music (released 1/25/2019) I’ve said it before in other blog posts – I LOVE THIS ALBUM. Bethel has said the inspiration for this album comes from an Old Testament battle – these were no joke, they were long, drawn out, brutal, but the Lord would come through for his people and bring them victory. This live album includes 14 songs and runs about 1 hour 16 minutes, and I’ve somehow narrowed it down to 5 songs to highlight. Track 1: Raise a Hallelujah (written by J. Stevens, J. Helser, M. Helser, M. Skaggs) I raise a hallelujah in the presence of my enemies/I raise a hallelujah louder than the unbelief/I raise a hallelujah, my weapon is a melody/I raise a hallelujah, Heaven comes to fight for me/I’m gonna sing in the middle of the storm/Louder and louder, you’re gonna hear my praises roar/Up from the ashes, hope will arise/Death is defeated, the King is alive II Chronicles 20:17 But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you! Track 2: Goodness of God (written by E. Cash, B. Fielding, J. Ingram, B. Johnson, J. Johnson) I love You Lord, for Your mercy never fails me/All my days, I’ve been held in Your hands/From the moment that I wake up until I lay my head/Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God/And all my life, You have been faithful/And all my life, You have been so, so good/With every breath that I am able/Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God Exodus 33:19 The Lord replied, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.” Track 3: Ain’t No Grave (written by J. Helser, M. Helser, M. Skaggs) Oh, shame is a prison as cruel as a grave/Shame is a robber and he’s come to take my name/Oh, love is my redeemer lifting me up from the ground/Love is the power when my freedom song is found/There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down/There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down/When I hear that trumpet sound, I’m gonna rise up outta the ground/There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down Isaiah 40:7-8 The grass withers and the flowers fade beneath the breath of the Lord. And so it is with people. The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever. Track 4: Stand in Your Love (written by E. Hulse, J. Baldwin, M. Harris, R. Springer) When darkness tries to roll over my bones/When sorrow comes to steal the joy I own/When brokenness and pain is all I know/Oh I won’t be shaken, no I won’t be shaken/My fear doesn’t stand a chance when I stand in Your love/My fear doesn’t stand a chance when I stand in Your love/My fear doesn’t stand a chance when I stand in Your love Psalm 91:2-5 This I declare about the Lord; He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Track 7: Promises Never Fail (written by B. Fielding, J. Ingram, B. Johnson, J. Taylor) You are with me, what can separate us/You are for me, what can stand against us/Your love, it won’t let go/I know it won’t/Darkness, shadows have no power over me/Fear is empty, shame has no authority/Your love, it won’t let go/I know it won’t/I know Your thoughts, Your plans for me are good/And I know You hold my future and my hope/Your promises never fail/Your promises never fail Joshua 23:14 Soon I will die, going the way of everything on earth. Deep in your hearts you know that every promise of the Lord your God has come true. Not a single one has failed!

Vol. 1 by Radio Company (released 11/8/2019) Similar to The Dance and How to Do It, I looked forward to this album once I learned Jensen Ackles (Dean on Supernatural) was working on putting it out with his music partner Steve Carlson. I really like his voice and the vibe of this record a lot – that cross between country and rock fits his voice perfectly. This full album includes 10 songs and runs about 36 minutes, and I have 5 of them to highlight. Track 1: Cannonball (written by J. Ackles, S. Carlson) Oh get inside, take a ride, far as it’ll go/Let it spin to the end and right around the roll/Find a line, every time, tearing through the wall/Sonic boom to the room, come burnin’ like a cannonball/Cannonball, rise and fall/Cannonball has got away Track 2: Let Me Be (written by J. Ackles, S. Carlson) Down the road some/And take you there/Walk on the wildfire/And save the fare

WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? by Billie Eilish (released 3/29/2019) What is is about Billie Eilish, for real? My husband and I are obsessed with this album and listen to it all the time. Her whispery vocal style so heavily contrasts with the heavy alternative techno beats, but it all comes together and works. And the fact that she just turned 18 blows my mind. The full album has 14 songs and runs about 43 minutes, and I’ve got 4 to highlight here. Track 2: bad guy (written by F. O’Connell, B. Wildcard by Miranda Lambert (released 11/1/2019) Any time Miranda Lambert releases new music I get super excited. I’ve loved her since she released Kerosene when I was in high school, and her newest album was so much fun to listen to because it was the same and yet different than what I’m used to from her. She mixed in her usual country with some 90’s rock and a little pop, and I was HERE for IT. The full album includes 14 songs and runs about 49 minutes, and I was able to narrow down 8 to highlight. Track 2: Mess with My Head (written by L. Dick, M. Lambert, N. Hemby) I had the palace looking nice and neat/Two feather pillows with expensive sheets/Sittin’ so pretty on my velvet couch/Before you came around/You treat my mind like a hotel room/And I know why I gave the keys to you/I let you mess with my, mess with my head/I let you mess with my, mess with my head Track 3: It All Comes out in the Wash (written by H.
