Some Song Over the Rainbow: Brown

Brown unfairly gets kind of a bad rap as a color, largely due to its association with dirt and filthiness. I think brown can be really beautiful too, just like any other visible color, both on its own or complementing other colors out there.

Merriam-Webster defines brown as "having the color of wood or chocolate" and "any of a group of colors between red and yellow in hue, of medium to low lightess, and of moderate to low saturation." Brown often symbolizes boredom, comfort, decay, dullness, earthiness, groundedness, humility, reliability, simplicity, stability, timidity, tradition, and warmth. Does brown not totally describe how you're feeling today? Check in to other shades like almond, beige, brass, bronze, camel, chestnut, chocolate, coffee, copper, fawn, khaki, taupe, or any of the many other shades and names this color can go by.
