Welcome back to our Color Series! Today, we're checking out the second color on the visible spectrum: orange.
Orange is defined by Merriam-Webster as any of a group of colors that are between red and yellow in hue. In terms of symbolism, orange is often associated with adventure, autumn, confidence, creativity, emotion, energy, enthusiasm, excitement, optimism, positivity, warmth, and youthfulness. Does orange just feel too broad for you? Try out different shades like amber, apricot, carrot, clementine, coral, ginger, marmalade, ochre, pumpkin, safety, saffron, tangelo, tangerine, tawny, terracotta, valencia, or any of the many other shades and names this color can go by depending on what frequency it's hanging out at.
Like last time, this post will be divided between albums and songs. For albums, I've again compiled a list of albums from my husband and I's individual Apple Music libraries looking for orange album covers, because I firmly believe looking at a monochromatic playlist would be one of the most aesthetically pleasing things ever.
